The 26th Indian State Chattisgarh is segregated from Madhya Pradesh and was given an independent identification on November 1, 2000. It is meticulously positioned in central India and has total area of about 135,133 sq km. The capital of Chattisgarh is Raipur and is delimited Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh in its north, Orissa in its east, Madhya Pradesh in its west and Andhra Pradesh in its south. Chattisgarh has rich traditional music and its folk songs are quite famous in the region.
