Religions of Delhi


Delhi reflects the religious unity and cultural diversity of India. It is difficult to describe the culture and religion of Delhi. Hinduism
The third highest religion in the world, Hinduism is present in majority in Delhi. There are so many Hindu temples in the city as the Birla Mandir, the Chattarpur temple, Akshardham and lots more for giving the Hindus a proper platform.

Islam
Old Delhi is the prime most halt for all the Muslims in Delhi. The areas of Red Fort, Chandni Chowk, Daryaganj, etc are the permanent resident of the Muslims in Delhi. The Jama Masjid, the biggest mosque is constructed by Shah Jahan is in the Old Delhi. There also have erected a large number of mosques and dargahs in throughout the city.

Sikhism

Buddhism

Jainism
Jainism, the oldest religions in the world finds its presence in Delhi. Sri Digambar Jain Lal Mandir is the most famous Jain temples in Delhi.

Christianity
Christianity is also practiced in Delhi, the largest religion in the world.
