Location
Kasauli is a cantonment town is Solan district of Himachal Pradesh situated at an elevation of 1,800 m above the sea level. The cantonment was established in 1842 as a colonial hill station. It is the first hill station on the way towards Shimla and lies 77 km from it. It is frequently spotted especially during the sweltering heats of summers. Sight Seeing in Kasauli
Monkey Point: The highest point in Kasauli Monkey Point is situated at a distance of 4 km from Kasauli Bus stop and offers the wonderful view of the distant Chandigarh plains. On the top of the hill, there is a small temple dedicated to Lord Hanumana. There is a popular legend that when Lord Hanuman was returning from the Himalayas with the Sanjivani Booty or the Magical Herb, his foot touched the hill. The top of the hill thus is in a shape of a foot.
Baba Balak Nath Temple: The temple is located on the Graner Hill top and it is believed that the couples having no child visit this temple to be blessed with a child.
Christ Church: Founded in 1844, the Christ Church is one of the finest and oldest churches in Kasauli. This Church is of Anglican structure and is presently managed by diocese of Amritsar. It is one of the most spiritual places in the town.
Sanawar: Located at a distance of 6 km from Kasauli Sanawar is famed for the Lawrence School which is almost hundred-years-old and among the major attractions of Kasauli.
Dharampur: Another major attraction of Kasauli is Dharampur which is situated at a distance of 15 km from the hill town. Placed on NH 22, it is famous for having one of the most reputed tuberculosis treatment centers in the country.
