Sight Seeing in Kullu
Raghunath Temple: Raghunath Temple is the major tourist attraction of Kullu. The temple dedicated to Lord Ram was erected in 1660 by Raja Jagat Singh the ruler of Kullu to amend his sins. He got an idol of Lord Rama from Ayodhya and enshrined it in this temple.
Bijli Mahadev Temple: Situated at an elevation of 2,460 m above the sea level the Bijli Mahadev temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. As the name suggest the temple is frequently struck by lightning.
Jagannathi Devi Temple: Situated at a distance of 3 km from Kullu is located the Jagannathi Devi Temple or the Bekhli temple in the village of Bekhli. Although it is a steep 1½ hour slope leading to the temple, it provides an amazing view of Kullu which is worth the ascent.
Katrain: It is 20 km from Kullu on the way to Manali and is famous for orchards of apples and fish farming.
Naggar: Naggar situated on the left bank of river Beas was the capital of former state of Kullu for almost 1400 years. You can visit quite a few famous temples over here like Vishnu Temple, Tripura Sundari Temple and Krishna Temple.
