Day 01 Departure
Departure to Madras from your own Country.
Day 02 Chennai/Madras
Arrive at Chennai/Madras. You are transferred to the hotel. Overnight stay at Chennai (Madras).
Day 03 Mahabalipuram-Kanchipuram
The full day tour of Mahabalipuram & Kanchipuram. The ancient capital of Pallavas, Kanchipuram is the famous temple city of Tamil Nadu. Temples of Ekambaswara, Kailasanatha, Sri Kamakshi and Varadarajaswamy are the other famous temples. Kanchipuram is also famous for its silks.
Mahabalipuram famous for the seven pagodas and the rock cut monolithic temples, is the World Heritage Site in India. In the evening board a train for Trichy from the railway station.
Day 04 Trichy/Tiruchirapalli
Morning arrive at Trichy and get transferred to the hotel.
Afternoon tour of Trichy/Tiruchiraplli. In 18th century, Trichy; the citadel of the Chola dynasty has witnessed the Carnatic wars fought between the French and the English. The tourist places in Trichy include Lord Robert Clive's house, Danish Church, Rock-Fort and the ancient temple of Ganapati and Shiva temple. Overnight stay at Trichy.
Day 05 Tanjore
Drive towards Madurai visiting Tanjore enroute. Visit the principal landmarks at Tanjore, the beautiful Chola Temple of Brihadeshwara believed to be equally competent with the Egyptian pyramids. The bronze work and handicraft works in Tanjore make it one of the highlights of South India tour. Overnight stay at Madurai.
Day 06 Madurai
Morning tour of the renowned Meenakshi Temple dedicated to the consort of Lord Shiva with its towering Gopurams, the gigantic doorways, characteristic of the Dravidian temple architecture. Visit the Indo Saracenic style Tirumala Nayak Palace - famous for the Stuccowork on its domes and arches. After being at the Alagar Hills and Tirupara Kundran Rock temple; your afternoon is free for independent activities. Overnight stay at Madurai.
Day 07 Periyar
Morning drive takes you to Periyar National Park surrounded by high mountain peaks and the Western Ghats. Enjoy the boating in the large Periyar Lake whether on a simple boat or a motorboat. You can see the animals like elephants, wild boar, sambhar, tiger, leopard, wild dog, langur monkeys etc. Overnight stay at Periyar.
Day 08 Kochi/Cochin
Take a morning drive to Cochin/Kochi, the natural harbour of Kerala that made a mark in the world map when Vasco Da Gama stepped here for the first time. Overnight stay at Cochin.
Day 09 Cochin/Kochi
Morning tour of Cochin/Kochi. Created by the Malabar mud banks, Cochin is the natural harbour which got the recognition due to the Vasco-de-Gama who was the first American to step in India. The main tourist attractions at Cochin/Kochi are Jewish Synagogue, Portuguese Churches, Mosques, Hindu Temples and the Chinese Fishing Nets. Afternoon is free for shopping. Overnight stay at Cochin.
Day 10 Bangalore
Board a flight for Bangalore from Cochin airport. Arrive at Bangalore and drive towards Mysore. Overnight stay at Mysore.
Day 12 Mysore
Start the morning tour with the visit to the Mysore Palace built in 1911 - 1912. A masterpiece of the Hindu and Saracenic styles of architecture with archways, domes, turrets, colonnades and sculptures. Also visit the Art Gallery, Chamundi Hill, Chamundeshwari Temple, temple of Nandi the Bull and other tourist places. Afternoon is free for your leisure time. Overnight stay at Mysore.
Day 11 Belur-Halebid
Spend the full day in excursions to Belur and Halebid. Visit the epitome of Hoysala art; the Chenna Kesava temple built 900 years ago. The Hindu Art temples in Halebid built in the 12th century, Hoysaleswara and Kedareswara temples, are the real master pieces. Visit Sravanbelgola, the Jain pilgrim of India while your return journey to spectate Lord Gomateshwara, the largest statue in India. Overnight stay at Mysore.
Day 13 Hospet-Hampi
Reach Hospet by a morning drive. Visit Hampi popular as the former beautiful capital city of Vijayanagar Empire with its temples and architectural buildings. Some of the interesting historical ruins are the carvings on the Ramachandra temple & Lotus Mahal, Virupaksha, Vittala and Hazara Rama temples the elephant stables, huge Ganesha and Narasimha images, the Queen's Bath.
Day 14 Badami-Aihole
A morning drive takes you to Badami after a halt at Aihole and Pattadakal.
Aihole is a tourist place for viewing the excellent temple architecture. Lad Khan temple is the oldest temple dating back to the 5th century A.D. Pattadakal or Petrigal has a group of temples, the most important being the Sanghameswara Temple, Mallikarjuna Temple, Virupaksha temple and the Papanatha Temple.
Day 15 Badami
Your morning tour starts with Badami also known as Vatapi known for its Hindu and Jain temples carved out of sand stone hills. The four main temples date back to the 6th century out of which three are Hindu and one Jain temple. The Fort and the Malegitti Shivalaya temple are the other tourist places.
Day 16 Goa
Morning drive takes you to Goa. You can choose your budget hotel as per your economic level.
Day 17 Goa
Inform us about how many days you would be willing to stay at Goa.
Day 18 Departure
Board a flight for Bombay from Goa airport. Arrive at the Mumbai domestic airport. Reach the city center to have some leisure time. In the evening, move to the Mumbai international airport to board a flight way back home.
