Day 01: Arrival at Delhi On arrival at Delhi India Holiday Packages representative will meet you at the lounge of Delhi International Airport. He or she will answer questions, brief you on the immediate arrangements, and escort you to your hotel. Over night stay at Delhi.
Day 02: In Delhi
The main highlight of India and Nepal Tour is Delhi. In Delhi Experience the contrasting images of Old and New Delhi the “green” capital city of India with India Holiday Package Guide. Wide avenues, grand vistas and colonial mansions welcome you to New Delhi, home to the city’s imperial government buildings and the embassy district. Sightseeing includes the classical Secretariat buildings, Parliament House and Presidential Palace flanking Vijay Chowk, a grand piazza known as Victory Square. See India Gate, Mahatma Gandhi National Museum, housing the Indian leader’s personal letters and diaries. View the five-storied Qutub Minar Victory Tower and the inspiring Humayun’s Tomb, set in beautiful Persian paradise gardens. Both of them are included in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Travel by rickshaw through labyrinthine streets of colorful bazaars, sacred temples and colonial monuments of Old Delhi. Day 03: Delhi - Agra The next highlight of India Nepal tour is Agra. In the morning drive down to the city of Taj Mahal - Agra. En-route visit Sikandra. The sandstone and marble tomb of Akbar, located 4 km North West of Agra. Continue your drive to Agra and check-in at Hotel. Spend rest of the day at leisure with an option to visit Taj Mahal at sunset. Over night stay at Agra.
Day 04: In Agra In Agra Morning visit Taj Mahal. It was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as an expression of his love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal in mid 17th century. It is among the Seven Wonders of the World. Continue your visit to Agra Fort, an outstanding example of Mughal architecture. Also visit Itmad-ud-Daulah, the beautiful tomb of Mirza Ghiyath Beg. After a hectic day long tour return back to the hotel for dinner and retire.
Day 05: Agra - Lal Mahal Palace The next highlight of India and Nepal tour is Fatehpur Sikri former imperial capital of the great Mughal Emperor, Akbar. Continue to the former hunting lodge of the Maharaja of Jaipur, the Lal Mahal Palace for a night stay at the deluxe Royal Camp. Over night stay at Lalmahal Palace.
Day 06: Lal Mahal Palace - Jaipur After breakfast drive towards Jaipur the capital city of Rajasthan also known as Pink city. Upon arrival you will be assisted with your check in at the hotel. Remaining day is at leisure for independent activities. Over night stay at Jaipur.
Day 07: In Jaipur After buffet breakfast at the hotel, you will be driven just outside Jaipur to the ancient capital of Amber to see the fabulous Amber Fort. An elephant (Subject to availability/alternatively by jeep) will spare you the trouble of reaching up to the fortress. Once on the top stroll through the sprawling complex of courtyards and halls. Most fascinating, perhaps, is the Sheesh Mahal and Hawa Mahal. In the afternoon among the highlights to be seen while touring Jaipur include the City Palace and Jantar. Over night stay at Jaipur.
Day 08: Jaipur - Delhi Early morning after breakfast leave for Delhi by road. On arrival in Delhi, check in at the hotel. Spend the day in leisure activities. Overnight at Delhi.
Day 09: Delhi / Kathmandu Next morning transfer to Delhi International airport to board flight for Kathmandu. On arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Over night stay at Kathmandu.
Day 10: In Kathmandu Next morning the heighlight of India Nepal tour leads you to Kathmandu. India Holiday Package guide will take you to the seightseeing tour of Kathmandu which includes Durbar Square, Hanuman Dhoka, the ancient royal residential quarter, Mahadev and Parvati Temple, Machhender Bahl-holy place for the Buddhists and Hindus, Temple House of Kumari. Also visit Swayambunath, a 2500-year old site. The 5 dhyani Buddha's attended by their consorts are enshrined at the base of the stupa. (Non-Hindus are not allowed inside Swayambhunath temple). In the afternoon visit Patan. In Patan visit the old Newar City, the historic Durbar Square, the Golden Gate, the sky piercing temple of Teleju and the statue of Yogendra Malla. Over night stay at Kathmandu.
Day 11: In Kathmandu Next morning get ready for an excursion to Bhadgaon, Bodhnath and Pashupatinath Temples. Visit the ancient Gateway, Durbar Square the Royal Residential quarter of Bhupatindra Malla, the famous five-storied temple of Nyatapola in pagoda style and other temples. Later, visit Bodhnath, the 2500-year old Buddhist Stupa, - a holy place for Buddhist pilgrims from Tibet. Also visit Pashupatinath temple where Shiva is worshipped in the form of lingam. (Only Hindus are allowed inside). In the month of February an annual pilgrimage on the occasion of Shivaratri is organized here every year. Over night stay at Kathmandu.
Day 12: Kathmandu - Chitwan In the morning drive towards Chitwan. On arrival in Chitwan, check in at your resort. In the afternoon proceed for a tour to Tharu Village and witness the Tharu Cultural Performance. Over night stay at Chitwan.
Day 13: In Chitwan An elephant ride takes you around the jungle for an hour and half. There are two trips a day, one in the morning at 8 and another at 4 in the afternoon. Jeep safaris are also very popular they take you around for four hours. Canoeing along the Rapti River is another option. The trip is a paradise for birdwatchers. Jungle walks through the jungle is a good way to spot game. Over night stay at Chitwan.
Day 14: Chitwan - Pokhara The next highlight of India Nepal tour is Pokhara. After breakfast take a quick tour to Pokhara. Pokhara is a place of remarkable natural beauty. The serenity of Phewa Lake and the magnificence of the Fishtail Peak rising behind it create an ambiance of peace and tranquility. Pokhara is a perfect place to see the panoramic view of Himalayan region including Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Over night stay at Pokhara.
Day 15: In Pokhara After breakfast, proceed for a half-day sightseeing tour of Pokhara City and 1 hour boating at Lake Phewa. Free at leisure for the remainder of the day. Over night stay at Pokhara.
Day 16: Pokhara -Kathmandu In the morning get ready to depart by air for Kathmandu. On arrival at Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Over night stay at Kathmandu.
Day 17: Arrival at Kathmandu It’s time to bid farewell to Kathmandu. India Holiday Packages representative will meet you and transfer you to Kathmandu Airport in time to board flight for home. Highlights of India and Nepal concludes over here.
