Baisakhi
Celebrated on April 13th (in the month of ‘Vaisakh’) Baisakhi represents the beginning of the New Year and holds special implication for the Sikhs of Jammu.
Lohri
Celebrated to welcome the Spring Lohri is celebrated with a special fervor in Jammu region, also known as Makar Sankranti. Thousands of devotees take a holy dip in the river is the utmost ritual of the festival.
Jhiri Mela (Oct- Nov)
Jhiri Mela celebrated in(Oct- Nov) is counted among the prominent festival to enjoy in Jammu and Kashmir. Jhiri is a small village; 14 km from Jammu is the place famous for simple and honest farmer, Baba Jitu.
Bahu Mela
Bahu Mela is held at the Kali temple in Bahu Fort of Jammu, enjoyed twice a year in March or April and September or October.
Mansar Food and Craft Mela
Mansar Food and Craft Mela are 3-day Mela observed annually during the Baisakhi season. The Mansar Lake is the venue of the fair, located 60 km from Jammu.
Purmandal Mela
Purmandal is three day festival located just 39 km from the city of Jammu where to celebrate the marriage of Lord Shiva to goddess Parvati on Shivratri held at February or March.
Chaitre Chaudash (March- April)
Chaitre Chaudash is a majestic festival of Jammu and Kashmir, celebrated usually in March or April, at Uttar Behni, 25 km from Jammu.
