Day 01: Arrival in Bangalore
South India Architecture and Backwater tour starts with the arrival in Bangalore, where one of India Holiday Packages representatives will escort you for a hotel transfer. Check in at the hotel for an overnight stay in Bangalore.
Day 02: Bangalore
Day 03: Bangalore - Chennai
Post breakfast gets transferred to the railway station to board the train to Chennai. Arrive at Chennai and our representative will escort you to the hotel. Check in at the hotel for an overnight stay in Chennai.
Day 04: Chennai
Next day after breakfast proceed for a full day excursion to Mahabalipuram, a famous seaport. Watch the enchanting rock cravings there. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Chennai.
Day 05: Chennai – Pondicherry
Post breakfast move from Chennai to Pondicherry. En route enjoy the visuals. After reaching Ponidcherry get transferred to the hotel after some rest in the afternoon visit Aurobindo Ashram. It is situated at a distance of 10 km from Pondicherry. Post lunch visit Auroville, where people from all nationalities live with harmony. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Pondicherry.
Day 06: Pondicherry – Chidambaram - Tanjore
Begin the 6th day of your South India Architecture and Backwater Tour with a sumptuous breakfast and then drive your way to Tanjore en route visit Chidambaram housing the famous Nataraja Temple. Watch the enchanting Bharatnatyam postures craved in the sculptures there. While returning visit the Brass factory at Kumbakonam. Arrive in Tanjore and check in at the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 07: Tanjore - Trichy
In the morning after having breakfast explore the famous Chola Temple of Brideshwar at Tanjore and then drive your way to Trichy that is situated on the banks of Kaveri River. Visit the pilgrim center housing the famous Ranganath Temple at Srirangam. Do pay a visit to the Rock Fort Temple and Srirangam Temple in Trichy. Return for an overnight stay in Trichy.
Day 08: Trichy - Madurai
On the next day of South India Architecture and Backwater Tour have a healthy breakfast and then drive your way to Madurai housing the most famous Meenakshi Temple. Have lunch and then explore the temple with an India holiday representative and get enthralled watching the superb example of the Dravida School of Architecture. Return for an overnight stay at Madurai.
Day 09: Madurai - Periyar
Post breakfast drive your way to Periyar. Arrive at Periyar and check in at the hotel. Have lunch and then move on for a plantation tour in the afternoon in the company of an escort from India Holiday. Then go on a boat ride on Lake Periyar and view an array of wild animals. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 09: Periyar – Quilon
Post breakfast drive your way to Quilon, which is 4 hours drive from Periyar. Enjoy watching the coconut plantations and tropical plains of Kerala en route. Go on a wonderful 3 hr cruise on the famous backwaters from Kottayam to Alleppey and from there a short drive will take you to Quilon, famous for coir, cashew and marine products, Return for an overnight stay at the hotel in Quilon.
Day 10: Quilon
The whole day is free to feel relax at the hotel. Have an overnight stay relaxing amidst the facilities of your hotel in Quilon.
Day 11: Quilon – Cochin
Post breakfast drive your way to Cochin. Arrive at Quilon and check in at the hotel. Freshen up yourself and then visit the Jewish Synagogue and the famous Dutch Palace. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay at Cochin. India Holiday Packages will be organizing Kathakali dance shows for you and the most interesting part would be seeing the performers dressing up before the dance. Day 12: Cochin Departure
