Day 01: Chennai Arrival
Tamil Nadu Pilgrimage Tour starts from the capital city Chennai. Our representative greets you on arrival and transfers you to the hotel. Relax for a while and then proceed for a half-day city sightseeing tour including Kapaleeswara Temple, Ashtalakshmi Temple, Govt. Museum and Theosophical Society. Return to the hotel for night stay.
Day 02: Chennai - Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram
Tamil Nadu Pilgrimage Tour today proceeds to the famous temple town of Mahabalipuram. Check out from hotel and drive to Mahabalipuram. Stop en route at Kanchipuram (80 km from Chennai) for sightseeing of Ekambeshwara Temple, Varadaraja Temple and Kailasanatha Temple. Later proceed for a short visit to the silk weaving factory and then continue drive to Mahabalipuram. Upon arrival, lunch will be served at the hotel and later at noon, leave for a visit to the spectacular Shore Temple, the Five Rathas and local markets. Retire to the hotel for the night.
Day 03: Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry
Pondicherry is the next destination
in your pilgrimage tour to Tamil
Nadu. Check out from hotel in the
morning and transfer to Pondicherry
by road. Upon arrival, check in
to hotel and later at noon, visit
the famous Aurobindo Ashram, Auroville
City and the Old Pondicherry City.
Return to the hotel for night stay.
Day 04: Pondicherry - Chidambaram - Tanjore
The holy tour to Tamil Nadu now continues to Chidambaram. Upon arrival, sightseeing at the famous Nataraja Temple. Later transfer to Tanjore, another major temple town and a must visit in Tamil Nadu Pilgrimage Tour. Here we take you to the famous Palace and the Brahadeswara Temple. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05: Tanjore - Velankanni - Tanjore
Morning excursion to Velankanni (100 km) that is a popular visit in Tamil Nadu tour packages. Visit the beautiful church here and later return to Tanjore hotel for overnight stay.
Day 06: Tanjore - Trichy - Madurai
Tamil Nadu Pilgrimage Tour today proceeds to Trichy. Check out from hotel in the morning and proceed to Trichy. Upon arrival, sightseeing tour of Rock Fort Temple and Sriranganathar Temple at Srirangam. Later continue drive to Madurai, the magnificent temple town that is a must visit pilgrimage site in Tamil Nadu. Check in to hotel upon arrival and then proceed for a visit to the Museum, the exquisite Madurai Meenakshi Temple and Nayak Palace. Night stay at hotel.
Day 07: Madurai - Rameshwaram - Madurai
Today morning, we take you on an excursion to another famous pilgrimage site of Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu (180 km from Madurai). Spend the entire day there and in the evening, drive back to Madurai to stay for the night at the hotel.
Day 08: Madurai - Kanyakumari
Kanyakumari is the last stopover in Tamil Nadu Pilgrimage Tours. Morning, check out from hotel and transfer to Kanyakumari. Visit en route the famous Krishnapuram Temple and several other beautiful temples around Kanyakumari. On arrival, check in to hotel and later proceed for a visit to the Tiruvalluvar Statue and Vivekananda Memorial. Return to the hotel for night stay.
Day 09: Kanyakumari - Chennai Departure
Tamil Nadu Pilgrimage Tour ends today and you check out from hotel to proceed to the station to board onward train Chennai. Assistance on arrival to board scheduled flight/train back home or for onward destination.
