Mumbai - Karla Caves
Day 1 Mumbai/Bombay
Arrive at Mumbai/Bombay, the commercial and industrial capital of India. Visit the various tourist places like Marine Drive, Juhu Beach, Chaupati Beach, Crawford Market etc. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 Karla Caves
The Karla Caves in Maharashtra are one of the finest examples of rock cut caves.
The caves are surrounded by the hills. Built by Buddhist monks, the caves are
highly influenced by the Buddhist art and sculpture.
A cave is also having a
pillar crowned with three lions. Originally an emblem created by the Buddhist
King Ashoka, it is now adopted by the Indian Government as the state emblem.
Return to Mumbai/Bombay. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3 Departure
Morning depart for Mumbai/Bombay. The afternoon is free for shopping or other independent activities. Board a flight from the airport for the onward destination in the evening.
