Day 01:- New Delhi -Haridwar
The most sacred Char Dham Yatra Tour begins with arrival at New Delhi. Here Indian Horizons representative will receive you and help you plan the further journey towards Haridwar. It is considered as one of the holiest places thronged by millions of visitors from all corners of the world. Upon arrival, check into the pre-booked hotel and take some rest. Later on, proceed towards Har Ki Pauri which is one of the most famous ghats of Haridwar to take a holy dip in sacred Ganga and then attend the spectacular Ganga Aarti with a beautiful sight of the floating diyas in the waters of river Ganga. It is truly a delightful experience for the visitors and among the major attractions of Haridwar. Return back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 02:- Haridwar- Barkot
Next morning take a dip in sacred Ganga and post breakfast proceed towards Barkot which is 186 Km from Haridwar. En- route visit Mussoorie the “Queen of Hills” along with its major attractions like Kempty Falls, Jawalaji Temple, Lal Tibba etc. Upon arrival at Barkot, check into the pre-booked hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 03:- Barkot- Yamunotri- Barkot
After morning breakfast drive towards Yamunotri the first dham of Char Dham which is 36 Km drive and 7 Km trek on one side. First drive, towards Hanuman Chatti from here you have to take the local jeep for Janki Chatti that helps reduce the trek. From here start the trek to Yamunotri which is around 6 Km from here. After taking bath in Jamunabai Kund, there is a rock pillar known as Divya Shilla which is worshiped before entering the Yamunotri Temple. Here you will find various thermal hot water kunds where one can cook rice by packing them in the cloth and dipping it in the kund. After darshan, return back to Hanuman Chatti and then drive back to Barkot for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 04:- Barkot- Uttarkashi
Next morning after breakfast leave for Uttarkashi .It is about 80 Km from Barkot and is renowned as “Kashi of North”. En-route enjoy a break at Brahamkhal and Dharasu Band. On arrival, at Uttarkashi check into the pre-booked hotel and take some rest. Later on, visit the Vishwanath Temple situated on the banks of river Bhagirathi and if time permits visit the Ekadash Rudra Bhairav, Gyaneshwar and Goddess Kuteti Devi Temple etc. Return back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 05:- Uttarkashi- Gangotri- Uttarkashi
Next day after breakfast proceed for another sacred Dham Gangotri. En-route enjoy a break at Gangnani, hot water springs and then continue the journey towards Gangotri. Upon arrival, take a holy bath in sacred Ganga, visit the famous Gangotri Temple constructed by the Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa in the 18th century on the right bank of Bhagirathi. Later in the evening return back to Uttarkashi hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 06:-Uttarkashi- Guptkashi
After morning breakfast leave for Guptkashi for the Kedarnath darshan ,one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. En-route visit the heritage Tehri town. Upon arrival, check into the pre-booked hotel and take some rest. After some refreshment , visit the ancient Vishwanath Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva which is similar to one in Varanasi. The other major attraction is Ardhanareshwara Temple and Manikarnik Kund, a place where two streams of Ganga and Yamuna meet. After a brief visit return back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 07:- Guptkashi- Kedarnath-
After morning breakfast drive towards Gaurikund which is 32 Km from Guptkashi. Upon arrival at Gaurikund take a bath in hot water pond and start your further journey on the tough trek. En-route enjoy lunch. Upon arrival, at the most sacred Kedarnath Temple, perform pooja and darshan. It is one of the twelve jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva situated against the backdrop of majestic Kedarnath range and is one of the most sacred temples in Hindu religion. Also, visit the Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi at the back of the temple. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the pre-booked hotel.
Day 08:- Kedarnath – Rudraprayag
After morning breakfast trek down to Gaurikund and then drive towards Rudraprayag which is situated at the confluence of river Mandakini originating from Kedarnath and river Alaknanda originated from Badrinath Dham. The confluence has a great religious significance and is thronged by thousands of pilgrims. Take a holy dip and enjoy the surroundings. The entire region is blessed with immense natural beauty, places of religious importance, lakes and glaciers. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the pre-booked hotel.
Day 09:- Rudraprayag- Badrinath
After early morning breakfast drive towards Badrinath , situated at a distance of 157 Km from Rudraprayag. Cradled in the twin-mountains of Nar and Narayan, it is situated along the left bank of Alaknanda with towering Neelkanth peak at its backdrop. Take a dip in the hot springs located near the temple named as Tapt Kund, Suraj Kund and Narad Kund. Visit the temple and after performing darshan and pooja check into the pre-booked hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 10:- Badrinath- Srinagar
Next day early in the morning take a bath in the Taptkund and perform the pooja at Badrivishal. Visit the other interesting spots such as Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund and the "Mukh" of the Saraswati River. Later on, proceed towards Srinagar 185 Km from Badrinath. Upon arrival, check into the pre-booked hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 11:- Srinagar- Rishikesh
Early morning leave for Rishikesh. Upon arrival, check into the pre-booked hotel and take some rest. Later on visit the striking attractions of Rishikesh that include Laxman Jhoola, Ram Jhoola, Triveni Ghat, Bharat Mandir, Parmarth Ashram etc. Return back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 12:- Rishikesh- New Delhi
On the last day of Char Dham Yatra Tour Package, pack your bags for return journey towards New Delhi.
